About This Role
As the Head of St Andrew’s Turi, I invite applications for this pivotal teaching role at our institution. If you possess a background in delivering engaging and high-quality education for gifted and talented students, I hope to pique your interest in this remarkable opportunity. Not only can you make a significant impact at our esteemed school, but you also have the chance to experience life in the stunning Rift Valley of Kenya.
We are seeking a motivated French teacher eager to gain extensive experience in a thriving, independent, full boarding school. This role is a fixed-term contract lasting four months, from August 20 to December 20, 2026.
The chosen candidate will take over a successful department that consistently achieves outstanding results at A level and (I)GCSE. You will be responsible for teaching students from Year 9 to Year 13 and will also contribute to our exceptional Sports and Outdoor Education programs.
At St Andrew’s, as a full boarding school, we are dedicated to offering a dynamic co-curricular and boarding experience that all staff participate in. The successful applicant will serve as an academic tutor, assigned to a specific boarding house for related duties.
If this opportunity excites you, we encourage you to apply. We look forward to your application, which should reflect your enthusiasm, energy, and innovative ideas that can enhance our school community. In return, you will join a supportive and dedicated staff of highly professional colleagues who are passionate about guiding students in their personal growth. Additionally, we provide a safe, beautiful rural environment in Kenya—a country rich in culture and nature, with easy access to wildlife and the Indian Ocean.
