Short School Statement
We are a distinctive, engaging, and academically rigorous HMC secondary school, serving both Czech and international students while fostering positive relationships. Operating on a not-for-profit basis under Czech legislation, we have charitable status and are overseen by a board of governors comprising both British and Czech members. In Key Stage 4, we provide LAMDA and Common European Framework language assessments. We have opted out of the constraints of IGCSE teaching to create our own pre-IB course, designed to effectively prepare students for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Additionally, we offer the Czech Maturita qualification. Every year, our graduates gain admission to prestigious universities in the UK, continental Europe, and occasionally in Asia and North America.
Most of our educators are native English speakers, enabling students to engage with the language as it is naturally spoken, which significantly aids their language development. Our teaching approach mirrors that of the finest British schools. We offer the successful candidate an adventure, challenges, a permanent contract, and competitive remuneration in one of Europe’s most beautiful cities.
