About This Role
Saint Paul American Scholars (SPAS) is an expanding K-12 educational institution focused on cultivating responsible citizens and equipping students for higher education. This mission encompasses instilling vital characteristics of ethical conduct, such as courage, compassion, integrity, justice, truth, reason, fairness, respect, and honesty, alongside core academic subjects.
A positive educational atmosphere is defined by high-quality instruction from teachers and effective learning among students. This necessitates a safe space for everyone involved in the SPAS community, emphasizing citizenship and the fair, equitable application of rules. We recognize parents as crucial partners in the educational journey and believe they must be actively engaged and accountable for their children's academic performance and behavior.
At SPAS, we seek educators who see themselves as more than just teachers. Ideal candidates are intrinsically motivated to find ways to assist struggling students, to challenge those who excel, and to understand the diverse performance levels of their students. Their dedication stems from a commitment to ensuring that students not only survive but truly thrive. Educators are eager to collaborate with fellow teachers and stakeholders to enhance student success.
Understanding that education extends beyond merely assigning, collecting, and grading assignments is vital. If you share this perspective, we would love to hear from you.
