Job Description

Him Lam International School Bac Ninh is seeking a committed and skilled Whole School PE/Sports teacher to enhance our team. As a PE/Sports teacher, your role will involve delivering lessons that cultivate both theoretical knowledge and practical sports abilities in students. Additional responsibilities include assigning homework, grading assessments, and tracking students' progress.

Your goal will be to enhance student learning outcomes by implementing teaching and learning best practices that align with the school’s Mission, Vision, Core Values, Learning Principles, Learner Sphere, Culture, and relevant national and international programs.

To thrive in this position, you should have a solid grasp of effective teaching methodologies. The ideal candidate will foster a dynamic learning environment that addresses students' psychosocial needs.


Duties


Plan, organize, and deliver instruction that aligns with the Cambridge curriculum and school standards, catering to diverse learning styles, abilities, and needs.


Create and implement lesson plans that employ a variety of teaching techniques and strategies to ensure individual student success.


Provide personalized and small-group instruction to tailor the curriculum for students with different intellectual and athletic abilities, accommodating various instructional activities.


Instruct students on the proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment.


Ensure that the sports facilities adhere to Health and Safety protocols, maintaining furniture and the environment in good condition, and report any issues to the facilities manager.


Communicate effectively to enhance each student’s knowledge and skills at appropriate grade levels and subjects.


Conduct academic assessments to evaluate student progress towards learning targets and knowledge acquisition, preparing necessary written and oral reports for relevant stakeholders.


Monitor and assess student wellbeing, both as a subject teacher and homeroom teacher, to encourage their personal and social growth.


Establish and uphold standards of student behavior to maintain an orderly and productive classroom environment.


Remain attentive to the needs of students for whom English is a second language.


Adapt lesson plans to accommodate differentiation for students with additional needs.


Collaborate with fellow teachers to exchange innovative ideas, strategies, and professional insights.


Regularly engage with SEN and EAL teams to ensure a comprehensive approach for students with varying developmental levels.


Track student attendance during lessons and monitor the quality of classwork, homework, and other assignments.


Keep accurate records and submit lesson plans for approval to the Head of International Programme with oversight from the School Director.


Maintain clear and professional communication with parents, providing updates on their children's progress and ensuring parent communication platforms are kept current as per initial requirements.


Take part in curriculum development, homeroom activities, extracurricular programs, and other initiatives.


Engage in school events such as sports training, competitions, Open Day, Admissions Day, After School Activities, PD training, or Parent-Teacher Conferences.


Supervise assigned out-of-classroom activities during school hours as needed.


Foster positive relationships and communication with fellow staff members.


Ensure effective use of resources, materials, and equipment.


Undertake other responsibilities as assigned by the Head of the International Programme as the line manager.


Education


Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Education or Sports Science.


Recognized teaching certificate/license in the subject area.


Cambridge certificate (preferred).


Experience


At least 3 years of teaching experience in a similar role within an international or bilingual school environment.


Experience with the Cambridge PE curriculum is preferred.


Skills & Knowledge


Fluent in English.


Creativity, flexibility, adaptability, and enthusiasm for engaging diverse learners from various cultural backgrounds, languages, abilities, interests, and personalities.


Proficient in using technology effectively in teaching and learning, including online learning management systems, collaboration tools, and assessment platforms.


A willingness and commitment to actively participate in the broader school community and contribute to the enrichment and co-curricular programs beyond the standard academic schedule.

Compensation

₫50,000,000 - ₫70,000,000 per month (A housing allowance will be provided separately)
