Teacher of MFL (French and Spanish)
About This Role
Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (French and Spanish)
Required for January or Easter start
Stopsley High School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and talented Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages to join our school. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and passionate practitioner to become part of a thriving and forward-thinking department.
The position would suit either an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to develop their career in a supportive and ambitious school environment.
French will be the principal teaching subject, although the ability and confidence to teach Spanish would be an advantage. Experience of teaching both languages is desirable but not essential.
The successful candidate will join an energetic, experienced and highly ambitious team, bringing enthusiasm, creativity and a genuine passion for teaching and learning in MFL. We are looking for someone who is keen to contribute to the continued development of an already well-established department, inspiring students and helping to strengthen their engagement and achievement in languages.
We are committed to investing in our staff and offer a comprehensive programme of Continuing Professional Development (CPD), alongside dedicated support and development opportunities for Early Career Teachers.
Stopsley High School has been on an exciting journey of rapid improvement, which included becoming an academy in September 2021 and joining the Middlesex Learning Trust. Membership of the Trust has brought significant opportunities for collaboration and professional development across its three schools, enabling staff to share expertise, showcase best practice and access innovative training opportunities.
The dedication and hard work of our staff have been recognised through an incredibly positive Ofsted outcome in June 2026 under the new inspection framework. This marks an important milestone in our school's journey and provides an exciting platform for our continued ambition and development.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a school with a strong sense of purpose, a commitment to improvement and a team of colleagues who are passionate about delivering the very best for our students.
There are a multitude of benefits to working at Stopsley High School, with Middlesex Learning Trust to support. Benefits include but is not limited to:
