Position Overview

We are seeking a fully qualified and experienced Teacher of Mathematics to become a part of our enthusiastic and dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to the holistic development of students. They should be a collaborative team player who embodies the ethos, values, and objectives of our institution.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

- A recognized degree in Mathematics or a related field from an accredited university, coupled with a PGCE, QTS, or another internationally recognized teaching qualification.

- A minimum of three years of teaching experience in mathematics for KS3–5, demonstrating a successful track record in I/GCSE and A Level examinations.

- Display outstanding teaching practices in the classroom, ideally validated by an external organization.

- Have a strong understanding of effective teaching methodologies, learning strategies, and the use of assessments to enhance student learning and effectively manage data.

- Show the impact of teaching on the progress of individual students and groups.

- Willingness to work with small groups, including students with SEND, providing targeted support to ensure their advancement.

- A commitment to continuous professional development and collaboration with colleagues.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Office 365 applications; experience with SIMS is advantageous.

- Strong knowledge of Safeguarding and Child Protection best practices, supported by recent and relevant training.

- Actively lead or participate in a variety of extracurricular activities related to the school.

- Be an exceptional team player who upholds the Catholic ethos, values, and mission of the school, dedicated to the comprehensive education of children.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide pastoral, academic, and behavioral support to students.

- Maintain accurate records of student progress and implement formal assessment techniques.

- Assist parents with referrals to external agencies as needed.

- Collaborate with parents, staff, and students on Individual Education Plans.

- Ensure effective communication with parents through reports and meetings.

- Participate in and lead extracurricular activities.

Salary and Benefits:

- A competitive salary ranging from CI$55,000 - CI$68,500 per annum, tax-free, depending on experience and qualifications.

Compensation
