Awsaj Academy is a specialized institution catering to over 700 students ranging from Pre-3 to Grade 12 with diverse learning needs and challenges. The majority of our students experience mild to moderate learning difficulties, while others have specific medical diagnoses that present more complex educational hurdles. Instruction at Awsaj Academy is primarily in English across all subjects, with the exception of Arabic, Islamic Studies, and Qatar History, which are conducted in Arabic. Over 98% of our students are Qatari and English Language Learners, and our classes are co-educational, focusing on dual-language techniques.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible Middle School Science/Social Studies Teacher to join our team. In this distinctive role, you will teach both Science and Social Studies, guiding students through the exploration of the natural world and human societies. You will engage with students with diverse learning needs, customizing your teaching approaches to cater to individual requirements, nurturing a passion for learning, and supporting their academic achievements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver captivating, differentiated lessons in Science and Social Studies that encourage critical thinking and inquiry.
- Establish an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere where students feel secure to ask questions and share ideas.
- Modify teaching strategies to accommodate various learning styles and needs.
- Create hands-on, project-based learning experiences that connect students to the relevance of Science and Social Studies.
- Regularly evaluate student progress, providing feedback and implementing interventions to foster growth.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, specialists, and parents to ensure a comprehensive approach to student development.
- Inspire students’ curiosity, motivating them to explore scientific concepts and social studies topics in real-world contexts.
- Support social and emotional learning alongside academic success, aiding students in developing essential life skills.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, Social Studies, or a related discipline.
- Valid teaching certification/license/equivalency with at least 3 years of teaching experience.
- Experience working with middle school students, especially those with diverse learning needs.
- Strong capability to differentiate lessons and create accessible learning opportunities for all students.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
