Position: Science Teacher

Type: Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 20/07/2026, End Date: 16/07/2027 (Refreshment Leave Cover)

Location: Kāpiti College, Wellington

The Role

Kapiti College is seeking a passionate teacher of science to join our dynamic and well-resourced science department. This is a fixed-term, full-time (1.0 FTE) position for 1 year to cover refreshment leave, starting at the beginning of Term 3, 2026. The primary focus is general science teaching across year levels, but it would be an advantage (not a requirement) if you could also teach senior chemistry.

Qualifications

• Certificated teacher.


• Experience in teaching science, with a preference for those who can teach senior chemistry.
