Overview:

The Performance Analyst is tasked with gathering, analyzing, and presenting data to support evidence-based decision-making within the Mustang High Performance Team. This position focuses on biometric data collection, video analysis, and dashboard creation, allowing coaches and staff to track athlete performance, well-being, and development over time. The successful candidate will also spearhead innovation through the integration of technology and AI to enhance analysis and intervention planning throughout the program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the collection and interpretation of biometric, physiological, and performance data for all high-performance athletes.
  • Oversee the delivery and analysis of video recordings from matches, training sessions, and performance assessments to aid both individual and team growth.
  • Develop and maintain customized dashboards (e.g., Power BI, TeamBuildr, VALD) to monitor trends, identify issues, and inform coaching strategies.
  • Collaborate with coaches to create performance profiles and ensure personalized feedback is provided to athletes and their parents.
  • Generate monthly reports analyzing well-being, workload, attendance, behavior, and performance data to recognize trends and areas needing intervention.
  • Work closely with the High Performance Coordinator to support IAP reviews with detailed performance summaries.
  • Create visual and video coaching materials to assist in technical and tactical development, including highlight reels, breakdown clips, and team reviews.
  • Investigate and implement new technologies and AI tools to improve performance tracking, player tracking, and auto-tagging software.
  • Aid in the development of digital portfolios for athletes pursuing scholarships or external performance opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance of all data systems with the school's data protection and safeguarding policies.
  • Contribute to the development of targeted professional development initiatives across the GEMS Network as part of the Centre of Excellence for Sport.
  • Undertake any additional responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Director of Sport or High Performance Coordinator to support overall school objectives and outcomes.
