Job Purpose:
As an ICT Teacher, your mission will be to deliver engaging and age-appropriate ICT education that fosters essential technology skills in young learners. You will guide students in becoming adept technology users while promoting creativity, problem-solving skills, and responsible digital behavior, all aligned with EPG’s educational philosophy and the British curriculum framework.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and implement ICT lessons for students aged 5–11, ensuring adherence to the British curriculum while addressing the diverse needs of primary learners.
Instruct students in fundamental computing skills, encompassing keyboarding, coding (such as Scratch), digital presentations, and internet safety practices.
Promote responsible digital citizenship and emphasize the importance of online safety.
Utilize educational technology to enhance learning experiences across various subjects.
Develop students' skills in software applications, including word processors, spreadsheets, and creative tools.
Facilitate cross-curricular ICT initiatives in partnership with classroom teachers.
Manage and maintain ICT resources, ensuring that all equipment and software are functional and up-to-date.
Track and assess student progress; provide constructive feedback and contribute to formal reports and communications with parents.
Participate in school-wide initiatives, staff development workshops, meetings, and training sessions.
Stay informed about emerging educational technologies and effective ICT teaching strategies.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Computer Science, Education, or a related discipline (required).
PGCE or an equivalent recognized teaching qualification (preferred).
At least 2 years of experience teaching ICT in a primary or international school environment (experience with the British curriculum is preferred).
Familiarity with educational tools, coding platforms, and digital learning environments.
Understanding of the safe and responsible use of digital technology in a school setting.
