What Will Your Daily Responsibilities Be?

The selected candidate will:

• Have experience instructing Mathematics at the senior school level, with a strong preference for those experienced in IB MYP & DP and IGCSE.
• Understand the philosophy and curriculum guidelines of the International Baccalaureate (IB) thoroughly.
• Collaborate on curriculum design, including developing concept-driven units of inquiry along with authentic assessment tasks.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate the diverse needs of students at different levels.
• Employ a constructivist approach to education, fostering independent learning.
• Promote international-mindedness and integrate service learning within the curriculum.
• Demonstrate outstanding organizational skills.
• Be approachable and visible, showcasing excellent interpersonal skills and a good sense of humor.
• Exhibit flexibility, creativity, and resilience within the classroom environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the overall development of the school community.
• Teach additional relevant subjects as required, based on departmental needs and personal expertise.

What Qualifications Should You Have?

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Experience with the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) and Diploma Programme (IB DP).
• Significant experience with IGCSE.
• A background in teaching Mathematics across the entire senior school.
• A bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field, along with a teaching qualification.
• Relevant international teaching experience.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Preferred: Willingness or experience in teaching additional related subjects such as Computer Science, Physics, Data Science, etc.
• A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with current educational research.
• The ability to inspire, challenge, and empower students.
• Creativity, compassion, and a strong commitment to making a positive difference in students' educational journeys.
