Capital School Bahrain is thrilled to announce a vacancy for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of History to become part of our growing secondary team, starting in August 2026.

The successful applicant will be tasked with teaching History across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to contribute to A-Level History as we expand our post-16 offerings. This position provides an excellent chance for a passionate historian to join a supportive and ambitious British curriculum school that is committed to enhancing its Sixth Form program.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Delivering outstanding History lessons across KS3 and KS4

• Designing engaging and well-organized lessons that comply with the English National Curriculum

• Promoting significant student progress and achievements at IGCSE level

• Fostering critical thinking, historical inquiry, and strong written communication skills

• Maintaining high standards for behavior, effort, and academic success

• Collaborating effectively within the Humanities department and the wider school community

The ideal candidate will have:

• Qualified teacher status in History or a closely related Humanities subject

• Experience with the English National Curriculum and IGCSE History teaching

• Extensive subject knowledge and effective teaching methodologies

• A commitment to inclusive education and the wellbeing of students

• Experience in teaching A-Level History (preferred)

Compensation
