About Us:
British International School, Phuket (BISP) is home to one of the premier swim programs in Southeast Asia, offering a comprehensive pathway from Learn to Swim through to High Performance swimming. Numerous athletes from our program represent their countries at both Age Group and Open levels on the international stage. We prioritize the safety and welfare of children and young people, adhering to the standards set forth by the International Taskforce on Child Protection.

The Role:
We are in search of a passionate and experienced High Performance Swimming Coach to lead and manage our High Performance Swim Team (ages 13-18) as part of the Sea Eagles Academy. This coach will be instrumental in fostering a culture of excellence, guiding athletes to achieve elite performance while ensuring their overall development. The role demands a considerable commitment, including early morning practices, Saturday sessions, and occasional weekend travel.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, organize, and oversee training for the High Performance Swim Team.
- Provide guidance to athletes on nutrition, injury recovery, and mental health.
- Coordinate individual competition schedules for High Performance swimmers.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding training times, events, and athlete progress.
- Organize and attend swim meets, both on campus and at external locations, including supervision during weekends and overnight stays.
- Work with the Aquatics Director to recruit top talent and facilitate scholarship opportunities.
- Support professional development for Sea Eagles coaches and maintain relationships with national and international swimming organizations.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Engage with Age Group Development squads, Junior, Fitness, and Masters squads, as well as swimming within the PE curriculum.
- Collaborate with academic staff to assist in the recruitment and academic growth of student-athletes.
- Offer advice to students regarding sports scholarship opportunities and career paths in swimming.
- Advocate for the school’s vision, culture, and policies in all related activities.

Qualifications and Experience:
- ASCA Level 3 / Swim Australia TOCS or equivalent.
- ASCTA Gold or equivalent (or actively pursuing).
- A minimum of 6 years of experience with Age Group squads (ages 13-19), demonstrating proven success at national, regional, and international levels.
- Bachelor's or Undergraduate Degree.
- High proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Current First Aid, CPR, and Lifeguard certifications.
