About This Role
Adcote Matrix International School (AMIS) is a reputable international institution situated in Seremban, Malaysia, approximately 45 minutes from Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. We provide a comprehensive and innovative curriculum from Early Years through IGCSE, integrating the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), Cambridge International Curriculum, and the National Curriculum for England and Wales.
As the school continues to expand rapidly, we are looking to fill a new role starting in August 2025 or sooner if possible.
Position Overview
We are in search of a Head of Sixth Form to spearhead the development of our post-sixteen program at Pre-A and A level. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of A Level education, including enrichment opportunities, university career guidance, and the application process. This is a remarkable chance to shape a new and ambitious program. We are looking for a well-qualified educator who is also willing to teach. The position is intended to commence in April 2025 or earlier.
We seek professionals who:
- Are UK-trained or possess an equivalent qualification (PGCE or QTS) with relevant experience in the Cambridge International curriculum and the National Curriculum for England and Wales;
- Have a minimum of three years' experience in sixth form management within a secondary school and are registered with the Department of Education (DfE) or its equivalent;
- Possess current knowledge of the Cambridge International curriculum and the National Curriculum for England and Wales, along with a solid understanding of the university application process;
- Hold high expectations for learners, providing appropriate inspiration and challenges;
- Foster and contribute to a well-organized and motivating learning environment;
- Have experience in incorporating technology into teaching and learning;
- Embrace a growth mindset in all aspects of school life;
- Are passionate and willing to go the extra mile for the school community.
