Egypt British International School (EBIS) is seeking a qualified and experienced Arabic Teacher to join our team for the 2026 academic year. This role aligns with our mission of Enriching – Exploring – Excelling, and reflects our core values of enrichment, empowerment, esteem, and excellence.
We are in search of a passionate educator committed to enhancing students' skills in the Arabic language, fostering cultural identity, and promoting an appreciation for Arabic heritage. The ideal candidate will support academic, linguistic, and social development while instilling pride in the Arabic language among learners.
Requirements:
● Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language, Arabic Literature, Education, or a related field.
● Recognized teaching qualification (such as a Diploma in Education or its equivalent).
● A minimum of 2 years of effective teaching experience, preferably in an international or bilingual educational setting.
● Strong knowledge of the Ministry of Education standards and/or Arabic curriculum frameworks relevant to international schools in Egypt.
● Native proficiency in both spoken and written Arabic.
● Extensive understanding of Arabic grammar, literature, reading comprehension, and writing instruction.
● Ability to adjust teaching methods for both native and non-native Arabic speakers (if necessary).
● Skilled in positive classroom management, creating a respectful and engaging learning environment.
● Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Job Description:
● Develop and deliver high-quality Arabic lessons that align with both school and national curriculum standards.
● Improve students' reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills in Arabic.
● Inspire an appreciation for Arabic literature, culture, and heritage.
● Assess, monitor, and document students' progress, providing constructive and timely feedback.
● Prepare students for necessary internal and external evaluations.
● Maintain accurate records in accordance with school policies and safeguarding procedures.
● Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding students' academic progress and wellbeing.
● Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and school-wide initiatives.
● Participate in weekly CPD sessions and contribute to your ongoing professional development.
