KCISLK is on the lookout for enthusiastic and committed English Language Arts (ELA) teachers to join our secondary International Program for the 2026–2027 academic year. The ideal candidates will possess experience teaching literature in English-speaking classrooms and be adept at facilitating students' academic language growth through differentiated instruction. Requirements:


Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in English or Education


A valid teaching certification/license (Candidates lacking a license should be eligible for licensure or have a clear plan to obtain one)


Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching secondary school students


Familiarity with Understanding by Design (UbD)

Preferred Qualifications:


Experience with formative assessment and the analysis of student performance data


Familiarity with US Common Core state standards (CCSS)


Understanding of Conceptual Transfer

Middle School (Grades 7-8) teachers should demonstrate the ability to:


Cultivate strong, positive relationships with students, supporting their social and emotional development alongside academic success.


Encourage curiosity and a passion for learning to foster a nurturing and engaging classroom environment.


Create lessons that integrate foundational language skills with opportunities for critical thinking, creativity, and exploration, suited to the developmental stage of middle school learners.

High School (Grades 9-12) teachers should possess the capability to:


Deliver subject-specific expertise that motivates critical thinking and advanced learning in preparation for higher education or career paths.


Develop challenging and stimulating lessons that encourage students while addressing their individual goals and aspirations.


Serve as mentors and role models, assisting students through significant transitions and promoting independence, resilience, and leadership.

Compensation

NT$960,000 - NT$1,480,000 per year (Base Salary)
