Discover BASIS Bilingual School Beijing

Scheduled to open in the fall of 2026, BASIS Bilingual School Beijing will introduce our esteemed curriculum to China's capital. The school will begin with grades Kindergarten through 9 and will eventually expand to accommodate Pre-K through Grade 12, with a total student capacity of 2,300, including boarding facilities for 800 students.

Located on the north side of Anfu Street in Houshayu, Shunyi District, Beijing, BASIS Bilingual School Beijing is situated in one of the city's key new urban developments, making it a center for international education and an appealing destination for foreign teachers. The area is surrounded by high-quality residential and expatriate communities, fostering a rich cross-cultural environment.

Our Primary School educators utilize a collaborative, co-teaching model to enhance engagement and learning opportunities for students. The Subject Expert Teacher (SET) leads the delivery of engaging, subject-specific learning, while the Learning Enhancement Teacher (LET) focuses on individual student understanding. Together, you will create a joyful and challenging learning culture that values hard work and promotes exceptional student outcomes.

As a Humanities Subject Expert Teacher, you will lay a solid foundation in language and social science skills. This includes teaching topics such as early reading and writing, reading comprehension, the writing process, world history, American history, and geographic awareness. You will also collaborate with fellow educators to integrate lessons with other subjects, such as music and art.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cultivating meaningful relationships with each student to support their personalized and successful learning journey.

• Guiding students toward academic success, personal accountability, and intellectual growth.

• Engaging in continuous professional development by participating in ongoing training, collaborating with colleagues, and keeping updated on the latest educational strategies and best practices.

• Contributing to a positive and collaborative school environment.

Who We’re Looking For

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in your subject area (degrees in Elementary and Early Education are also highly valued for Pre-K through Grade 5).

• Experience: A minimum of two years serving as the lead teacher in a classroom, which is essential for obtaining a working visa.

• Collaboration: A team-oriented individual eager to share knowledge and learn from colleagues worldwide.

• High Standards: A dedication to upholding and enhancing the rigor of international education.
