Established in 2014, GEMS FirstPoint School is a Premium British Curriculum institution situated in the vibrant The Villa community of Dubai. The school currently caters to approximately 2,000 students, ranging from Nursery (age 2) to Year 13, and has exciting plans for future growth.

FPS takes pride in being an inclusive, values-oriented school, with a student body that reflects over 90 nationalities. Our campus features cutting-edge facilities, including a dedicated center for sports and performing arts, swimming pools, a theatre, sports hall, and specialized rooms for dance, drama, and music. Our learning spaces include fully equipped science laboratories, computer suites, a food technology kitchen, textiles and design suite, as well as Design Technology workshops.

Our curriculum is comprehensive, balanced, and enriched with outstanding co-curricular opportunities, enabling each learner to reach their potential and achieve personal success. Students benefit from studying internationally recognized A Levels, GCSEs, and BTECs, while our teachers receive strong support through extensive professional development. FPS also serves as a venue for NPQ courses, with senior leaders conducting NPQSL and NPQH programs for aspiring colleagues from the region.

Key Responsibilities



Provide engaging and high-quality lessons in line with the British curriculum.


Exhibit strong subject expertise and tailor teaching to accommodate the diverse needs of learners.


Effectively plan, prepare, and assess student learning while maintaining accurate records of progress.


Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that fosters innovation, curiosity, and a passion for learning.


Utilize technology effectively to enhance the educational experience.


Participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular programs, contributing to whole-school initiatives and events.


Adhere to GEMS policies, procedures, and core values consistently.


Maintain regular communication with parents, colleagues, and external stakeholders to support student growth.


Engage in ongoing professional development and performance management.

Candidate Qualifications


Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science (with a specialization in Biology or Chemistry) or equivalent.


Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).


Demonstrated strong classroom practice with the ability to inspire and motivate students.


A commitment to inclusive education and personalized learning.


A willingness to engage in the broader school community and contribute to a professional learning culture.

GEMS Education is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all its students and staff. A UK-enhanced DBS or equivalent police check is a requirement for all appointments.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
