About This Role

Aldar Education is looking for an exceptional Teacher - Primary (KS2) to become part of Muna British Academy in Abu Dhabi, starting in the 2026–2027 academic year.

Responsibilities:

Teaching and learning:

• Show a thorough understanding of the KS2 Curriculum to effectively implement it and achieve learning outcomes.

• Use suitable syllabi, materials, and schemes of work for teaching.

• Organize classroom provisions and learning resources, creating displays that promote a positive learning environment.

• Assist KS2 leaders in enhancing the development of teaching and learning across the key stage.

• Plan, prepare, and deliver sessions that address the diverse needs of all students in the class.

• Consistently and effectively plan lessons and sequences of lessons in the long, medium, and short term to meet individual learning needs.

• Engage students by providing enjoyable and creative lessons that challenge them and encourage critical thinking.

• Observe and assess students according to school assessment standards.

• Reflect on classroom provision, teaching sessions, progress made, and make necessary adjustments to the environment, planning, and curriculum.

• Support SEN (POD), EAL, and G&T students, ensuring their needs are met through tailored differentiation.

• Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists, when needed, to address diverse learning needs.

• Facilitate Hybrid / Distance Learning / Face-to-Face lessons.

Wider professional responsibilities:

• Collaborate as part of a curriculum action group, assisting with planning, assessment, resources, and special events related to the team.

• Help organize and participate in school events, outings, and extra-curricular activities (ECAs).

• Communicate effectively with parents/carers regarding students’ achievements and well-being using appropriate school systems and processes.

• Take initiative in personal professional development to ensure high-quality teaching and successful fulfillment of roles and responsibilities.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education or a Bachelor's degree with a requisite post-teaching qualification (PGCE or similar in Primary Education).

Minimum Experience: At least 2 years of experience teaching the England National Curriculum (ENC) in a similar role.

Job Specific Knowledge & Skills:

• Experience working with students for whom English is not their first language (EAL).

• Essential experience teaching the England National Curriculum in a primary environment.

• Ability to engage professionally with a variety of stakeholders.

• A passion for teaching and commitment to nurturing and educating children.

• High levels of professionalism with a focus on children's well-being.

• Recent and ongoing involvement in extra-curricular activities.

• A proactive and solution-oriented approach to work.

• Qualities of warmth, empathy, credibility, self-belief, integrity, drive, and a child-centered focus.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.

• Proficiency in IT and familiarity with online technologies to support 21st-century teaching.

• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with parents in a diverse, multicultural setting.
