We are in search of an Elementary Counselor to become part of our dedicated team. This crucial role involves aiding the social and emotional growth of our elementary/primary school students by offering tailored counseling services, guidance, and support.
Position: Elementary Counselor
Curriculum: Common Core
Education Stage: Elementary/Primary School
Skills and Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Education, or a related discipline (minimum requirement)
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a school counselor or in a comparable position with elementary-aged children
- Comprehensive understanding of child development and social-emotional learning principles relevant to an elementary school environment
- Proficiency in delivering both individual and group counseling sessions
- Strong communication abilities for effective interaction with students, parents, teachers, and staff
- Familiarity with the Common Core curriculum framework is preferred
- Expertise in conflict resolution, crisis intervention, and behavioral management strategies
