Join Our Team

Durham School for Girls Doha is in search of an exceptional and dedicated Travel & Tourism Teacher capable of instructing up to IGCSE and A Level. The primary objective of this role is to ensure that all teaching personnel at Durham School for Girls (DSGD) adhere to UK Teaching Standards (TS) while aligning their practices with the school’s MARK values, policies, and the cultural expectations set forth by the Qatari Ministry of Education (MOE). Responsibilities include delivering high-quality and engaging lessons tailored to the diverse requirements of students, promoting a safe and inclusive learning atmosphere, and supporting both academic and personal growth. Staff are expected to uphold professional standards, collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, and actively engage in the school community. Additionally, it is crucial that all teaching approaches, curriculum plans, and resources align with DSGD/MARK values, Qatari culture, and MOE ethics. This role also involves the ongoing professional development of staff, adherence to school policies, and the promotion of student well-being and high-performance learning (HPL) strategies. Ultimately, the aim is to cultivate a positive, respectful, and effective learning environment that nurtures both students and educators.

- Design and implement engaging lessons that fulfill curriculum standards and address diverse learning needs.

- Plan and execute curriculum content in accordance with DSGD/MARK values, Qatari culture, and MOE ethics.

- Utilize assessments effectively to track student progress and adjust instruction as needed.

- Establish a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that fosters respect and collaboration.

- Maintain regular and professional communication with students, parents, and colleagues to support learning.

- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and relevant stakeholders regarding academic performance.

- Promote student well-being by encouraging personal growth, resilience, and positive relationships.

- Actively participate in professional development to continuously improve teaching practices.

- Exemplify the school’s MARK values in all interactions and serve as a positive representative for DSGD.

- Use school communication platforms effectively to share information, resources, and updates.

- Engage in school events, extracurricular activities, and opportunities for community building.

- Comply with safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare policies to ensure student protection.

- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching, learning, and assessment practices.

- Ensure all educational materials, planning, and curriculum content reflect Qatari national values and MOE ethics.

Compensation
