Aldar Academies is seeking a Chemistry Teacher to become part of Bateen World Academy for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Key Responsibilities
• Create and deliver outstanding teaching and learning experiences in line with the school's Teaching and Learning Policy, including:
• Fostering a supportive and inspiring learning atmosphere;
• Establishing clear learning objectives for each lesson;
• Setting measurable targets based on prior student performance;
• Identifying and catering to the needs of SEN (POD), EAL, and G&T students through customized approaches;
• Structuring lessons and activities that are both engaging and challenging;
• Effectively using assessment for learning;
• Utilizing performance data and key indicators to shape lesson planning and differentiation;
• Integrating ICT to advance student learning and progress;
• Maintaining discipline in accordance with the school's 'Behaviour for Learning Policy,' promoting punctuality, positive behavior, and high standards for both work and homework;
• Assessing the achievement of learning objectives to enhance teaching methods;
• Grading student assignments biweekly and setting improvement targets following the school's Marking Policy;
• Regularly assessing and documenting student progress, using data to inform teaching strategies;
• Administering student assessments as required by examination boards and school policies;
• Writing and presenting detailed reports to parents;
• Engaging in and supporting events for parents and students;
• Contributing to curriculum development by creating, reviewing, and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work;
• Keeping subject knowledge updated through continuous professional development and independent study;
• Actively participating in the school's CAS Programme by leading or assisting with an after-school activity each term (excluding I/GCSE and IB DP Revision/Booster Sessions);
• Acting as an Academic Mentor and Extended Essay Supervisor for Year 12/13 students;
• Performing assigned duties in the staff duty rota;
• Covering for absent colleagues as needed;
• Supervising examinations as required to support the Examinations Officer during the Summer Examination Schedule;
• Carrying out any additional tasks as directed by the Principal.
Minimum Qualifications
• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field along with a PGCE or an equivalent teaching qualification.
Minimum Experience
• At least two years of teaching experience.

• Knowledge of UAE Ministry of Education and ADEK regulations;
