Teacher - Science (Chemistry) (Job Ref# B197-26-27)

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Chemistry along with an internationally recognized teaching qualification, such as a PGCE, Bachelor of Education, or H.Dip.Ed in Chemistry or a related science field. A minimum of three years of teaching experience in Chemistry at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 (A-Level) is essential, with the ability to teach an additional subject within the Science Faculty up to Key Stage 4 (GCSE Level). The successful applicant will also teach general Science at Key Stage 3, and proficiency in teaching another science subject would be an advantage. Additional duties may be assigned as required by the school.

In addition to the qualifications mentioned, the successful candidate must:

• Be an exceptional classroom practitioner with innovative ideas focused on achieving high academic standards.
• Have recent teaching experience in the relevant subject area and possess up-to-date knowledge of the British National Curriculum.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to tailor instruction to meet the diverse needs of each student.
• Exhibit the capacity to collaborate effectively while managing multiple tasks, setting and achieving appropriate goals, and contributing positively within the school environment.
• Be proficient in IT skills.
• Be willing to participate in and support a variety of school-related activities.
• Understand character-based learning principles and be capable of implementing individualized learning strategies for each student.
• Fully embrace and promote the Christian ethos of the school.

Experience in a multicultural international school context is an additional asset.

The salary for this role ranges from CI$50,700.00 to CI$69,950.00 per annum, based on experience in accordance with the school’s salary scale. Benefits include:
