Currently, the College accommodates over 740 students from 46 different nationalities. We deliver a British National Curriculum designed for international learners from Early Years to Year 9, followed by IGCSE for Years 10/11, and the IB Diploma Programme for Years 12/13. JOB SUMMARY:

The Swim Teacher is a vital member of the College’s Aquatics team, delivering high-caliber swimming instruction that promotes skill enhancement, water confidence, and enjoyment for students of varying ages and abilities. Working closely with the Head of Aquatics and other staff, the Swim Teacher will contribute to curriculum swimming lessons and provide support for competitive teams and extracurricular activities as required.

This role is primarily hands-on and focused on students, necessitating the planning and delivery of captivating lessons while upholding high safety and safeguarding standards. The ideal candidate will cultivate an inclusive and positive learning atmosphere, showcasing solid technical knowledge, effective teaching and coaching skills, and a dedication to the College's core values of excellence, kindness, sustainability, diversity, and community.

REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants must possess:

• A recognized Swim Coaching Qualification

• A Teaching Qualification or relevant Degree

• Personal experience in swimming and competing at a high level

• Comprehensive technical understanding of swimming techniques and training methodologies

• Current lifesaving certification

• Experience in coaching and leading teams at significant competitions

• Expertise in coaching children of different ages to a high standard

• Knowledge of essential safety protocols related to swimming pools and water safety

• Flexibility and adaptability to the demands of a busy International School Sports program

• A high level of professionalism and regard for children's well-being

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• A commitment to ongoing professional development and improvement

* Experience in an International School setting is preferred.

* Candidates needing visa sponsorship must provide official employment documentation confirming at least two years of experience in an educational setting for visa purposes.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
