About This Role

Truro and Penwith Academy Trust, together with Blackwater School, are seeking to appoint a dynamic and committed teaching assistant to support the special educational needs of key children in Key Stage Two. Our Key Stage Two provision is outstanding with an inclusive ethos along with high-quality teaching and opportunities for all.
Blackwater CP School is in a beautiful, rural setting close to the city of Truro with excellent facilities and easy access to the most wonderful outdoor learning environments. We have a fantastic Wild Area where skills and knowledge are taught to support the children to become well-rounded and empathetic individuals. We practice Thrive as a way of supporting children understand their own social, emotional and mental health, empowering them to understand themselves and the world around them. About You:
This is a part-time position within our Key Stage Two team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual with a child-centred approach, who can deliver a creative, inclusive and challenging curriculum that inspires and motivates children. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of high-quality teaching and learning, including how to support children with additional needs to help them achieve their full potential, both indoors and outdoors.
