About This Role
Ruamrudee International School Phuket is seeking applications for the role of Early Years Teacher to join our Early Years Department. This full-time position is located at Ruamrudee International School Phuket and reports to the Head of Early Years.
The successful candidate will create a supportive, engaging, and interactive learning environment that promotes the developmental progress of young learners. The Early Years Teacher will play a key role in supporting each child's social, emotional, and cognitive growth through effective and age-appropriate teaching strategies. This role also requires strong collaboration with families to ensure the well-being and success of every student.
Key Responsibilities
As an Early Years Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
- Creating and implementing a curriculum that is developmentally appropriate and aligns with the school’s educational philosophy
- Delivering engaging lessons that promote early language, cognitive, motor, and social skills
- Cultivating a welcoming and inclusive classroom atmosphere where children feel safe, supported, and eager to explore
- Applying effective classroom management strategies that promote positive behavior and social skills
- Conducting regular assessments and observations to track student progress and development
- Providing parents with consistent updates on learning progress, accomplishments, and areas needing improvement
- Building strong home-school partnerships through regular communication, conferences, and school events
- Tailoring learning experiences to meet individual needs and collaborating with specialists or support staff as necessary
- Ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of children by following all school safeguarding and safety protocols
- Participating in professional development opportunities and staying informed about best practices in early childhood education
Qualifications
Candidates must have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (a Master’s degree is advantageous)
- A recognized teaching certificate in early childhood education
- Proven experience in teaching young children in an early years setting
- A thorough understanding of developmentally appropriate practices and theories in early childhood education
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships
- Patience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for working with young children
