Primary Teacher
About This Role
About our School
Hanoi Toronto School stands out as a unique institution in Vietnam. Established in August 2022, it is the sole school in the country that provides international and integrated programs for Primary and Secondary students (Grades 1-12) aligned with the Ontario, Canada Curriculum.
The Ontario Curriculum is widely adopted in Canada and aims to help every student realize their full potential through a coherent, relevant, and age-appropriate learning program. It acknowledges the necessity for students to be critically literate in today’s world, enabling them to synthesize information, make informed choices, communicate effectively, and thrive in a constantly evolving global environment. It is essential for students to connect with the curriculum, see themselves reflected in what is taught, understand how it is taught, and recognize its relevance in the broader world. The curriculum caters to diverse learner needs, equipping all students with the knowledge, skills, and perspectives required to become informed, productive, caring, responsible, and active members of their communities and beyond.
Ontario has established curriculum frameworks, resources, and achievement standards across various subjects at both primary and secondary levels. This curriculum undergoes periodic revisions in consultation with curriculum developers, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders. The Ontario Ministry of Education provides sample activities and rubrics tailored to each grade and subject, allowing teachers to align their instructional activities and assessments directly with the curriculum objectives.
At HTS, our curriculum offering, compatible with other prominent global curricula, has been tailored to consider our international and Vietnamese context.
International Schools Partnership (ISP)
HTS is part of the International Schools Partnership (ISP), one of the largest international educational networks worldwide, comprising over 90 schools across more than 20 countries. Both students and staff gain from the ISP network through active engagement in various global learning opportunities. ISP prioritizes the professional development of its staff through its Learning First strategy.
HTS has a sister institution in Ontario, Lynn-Rose, a distinguished private IB world school in Canada and a member of the ISP. Through collaboration with Lynn-Rose College, our students can achieve the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and have the opportunity to study in Canada at Lynn-Rose through exchange or transfer.
At Hanoi Toronto School, we are dedicated to providing students with exceptional educational outcomes, employing the latest teaching methods within state-of-the-art facilities. Our students enjoy "Amazing Learning," a commitment to significant progress, performance, and achievement. The success of our learners is at the core of our mission; their achievements define our own.
At HTS, we prioritize the well-being of children in all our endeavors. We encourage them to embody kindness, trustworthiness, respect, and accountability. The school fosters an environment conducive to academic and social growth, preparing students for a successful future.
