We are currently inviting applications for experienced Primary (PYP) Teachers, with positions available starting in August 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons that ignite curiosity, promote critical thinking, and foster a love for learning.
• Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that recognizes and supports individual strengths and learning styles.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including EAL students, those who are gifted, and those requiring additional support.
• Utilize technology and innovative techniques to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
• Assess, document, and communicate student progress effectively, using data to inform instruction and provide personalized support.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to design and improve IB-aligned curriculum plans, resources, and assessments.
• Engage actively in the school community through co-curricular activities, events, and outreach initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with parents and the broader community to support student growth and well-being.
• Commit to ongoing professional development and self-evaluation to enhance teaching methods.
• Embrace and promote the GEMS values and the IB Learner Profile in all school activities.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A recognized professional teaching qualification at the degree level, such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE, or an equivalent.
• A minimum of 3 years of demonstrable experience teaching Primary (PYP), preferably within an IB Curriculum School, although this is not a strict requirement.
• Experience with IB PYP is advantageous but not essential.
• A strong passion for inspiring young learners through innovative and inquiry-based teaching practices.
• The vision, enthusiasm, dedication, and educational philosophy to contribute to the success of a leading GEMS school serving an international student population.
• A commitment to professional development and collaboration within a progressive educational community.
