About This Role

We are currently inviting applications from enthusiastic and qualified Primary Performing Arts Teachers to join our exceptional team beginning in August 2026.

Our Performing Arts Department is dedicated to improving student outcomes through an innovative, student-centered approach that blends data-informed techniques with compassion and expertise. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, inclusive instruction that meets the diverse learning needs of students within the IB and British curriculum frameworks.

• Collaborate with subject teachers to develop and implement strategies that promote access, progress, and success for all learners.

• Utilize data effectively to monitor student progress and create tailored interventions.

• Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that reflects the IB Learner Profile and GEMS Core Values.

• Contribute to the advancement of inclusive practices throughout the secondary school, promoting equity and understanding among students and staff.

• Engage with parents and the broader community to ensure a comprehensive approach to student support.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts, Drama, Music, Dance, or a related field. A teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent) is required.

• Experience: Familiarity with the IB PYP framework and/or British/NCfE is highly preferred.

• A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in Performing Arts within a school setting, ideally in an international or IB environment.

• Language: Proficiency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Arabic is advantageous but not a requirement.

• Skills: Strong classroom management abilities, effective lesson planning, and the capacity to inspire students of varying abilities and age groups.
