The Egypt British International School (EBIS) is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Music Teacher to join our team for the 2026 academic year, reflecting our mission of Enriching – Exploring – Excelling and our fundamental values of enrichment, empowerment, esteem, and excellence.

We are looking for a dedicated educator who can inspire a passion for music and performance within a supportive and culturally vibrant British-curriculum environment. The perfect candidate will contribute to students’ musical development, creativity, and confidence while playing a key role in a dynamic co-curricular program.

Requirements:

● A Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, or a related discipline, accompanied by recognized Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

● A minimum of 2 years of successful teaching experience, ideally within an international British-curriculum setting.

● In-depth knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Music.

● Ability to teach both the practical and theoretical elements of music, including performance, composition, and listening skills.

● Experience in directing choirs, ensembles, or school performances.

● Strong skills in positive classroom management while fostering an environment of engagement and creativity.

● Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.

Job Description:

● Create and deliver engaging Music lessons that meet National Curriculum standards.

● Develop students’ skills in performance, composition, and appreciation of music.

● Organize and oversee school concerts, performances, and musical events.

● Maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-organized music classroom environment.

● Evaluate, monitor, and document student progress while offering constructive feedback.

● Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary and whole-school initiatives.

● Promote students’ confidence, creativity, and teamwork through music.

● Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and well-being.

● Participate in weekly continuing professional development (CPD) sessions and pursue ongoing professional growth.

● Contribute to enrichment activities such as choir, band, or instrumental clubs.
