The Role
We seek an enthusiastic and inspiring Maths teacher. It is essential to be able to plan, develop, and deliver high-quality lessons using diverse approaches to continually enhance the teaching and learning experience. A dynamic, adaptable, and empathetic mindset is required, along with a strong conviction that every child can learn strategies that help them realize their true potential.
- Teach Maths up to Key Stage 5 effectively.
- Foster student self-esteem through a supportive, encouraging, and challenging learning approach, employing various teaching styles tailored to individual and group needs, as well as whole classes.
- Prepare, teach, assess work, and maintain records of attendance, progress, behavior, and achievement in line with school policies, using this information to elevate learning standards, with regularly set and reviewed target grades with students.
- Take the initiative in proposing ideas and assist in developing various aspects of the school.
- Collaborate with other staff members as part of teams, departments, and cross-curricular groups, sharing your unique talents and skills to contribute to new initiatives, policies, resources, and schemes of work.
- Work together with students to maintain the school environment, ensuring health and safety standards are met and a positive learning atmosphere is created.
- Partner with parents to achieve the best outcomes for each student, which may involve meetings outside regular school hours.
- Set high expectations for positive student behavior and appearance.
- Be familiar with and implement the school's agreed policies effectively.
Additional Responsibilities: Deputy Head of Faculty
The Second in Faculty will assist the Head of Faculty in managing and developing the subjects within the faculty, ensuring that each student is encouraged to reach their full potential. This role will also involve leading, developing, and enhancing specific areas of the curriculum within the faculty.
About You
We are looking for an individual who possesses:
- A degree in a relevant field and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A proven history of excellent teaching and learning, ideally with KS5 experience.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Excellent organizational abilities, resilience, and the capacity to perform well under pressure.
- A warm and empathetic demeanor, with a belief in every child's potential for success.
- Proficiency in using ICT to enhance teaching, assessment, and classroom management.
- A commitment to professional development and innovative practices.
