About This Role

At Rashid and Latifa School (RLS), our mission centers around our people. In alignment with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum's vision for a future crafted by dreamers, RLS aims to be the most fulfilling workplace, dedicated to leading educational advancements in Dubai. Founded by Royal Decree, RLS is committed to cultivating future leaders of the UAE and global innovators through a curriculum that emphasizes culture, wellness, play, innovation, and community.

We are in search of a dedicated, enthusiastic, and creative individual to join us as our school librarian. This person should possess a dynamic personality and the capacity to build meaningful connections with students and their families based on trust and respect. The librarian's primary responsibilities include managing and enhancing the school library to facilitate teaching, promote literacy, and encourage independent research. This position integrates resource management, information literacy instruction, and the fostering of a reading culture within the school community.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in positioning RLS as a 'Global Leader in Education' by implementing an engaging, adapted UK National Curriculum within a vibrant, research-informed environment. This role requires a leader who can instill our core values at the heart of our institution, guiding students toward a purposeful and fulfilling future.

We provide a competitive salary package, a commitment to ongoing professional development, and a culture of respect where every educator is recognized as a vital learning leader.

RLS is devoted to maintaining a diverse and inclusive workplace and invites applications from all qualified individuals who meet the outlined criteria.

We are dedicated to safeguarding the welfare of all children. As an organization, we acknowledge our duty to take all necessary measures to promote safe practices and protect children from harm, abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Our safeguarding framework will ensure adherence to best practices, and therefore, applicants will undergo thorough checks, with our interview process prioritizing safeguarding.

During the application process, you will need to provide a detailed employment history along with at least three professional references from the past decade (including your current Head of School or organization) that will be verified during the interview.
