About This Role
Brockenhurst College is excited to announce an opening for a **Lecturer in Business** to join our passionate and dedicated team. This position is full-time, although we are open to considering part-time hours or job share arrangements. In return for your expertise, we offer a competitive salary ranging from **£33,367 to £44,365 pro rata per annum (pay award pending), with unqualified teachers earning between £26,436 to £33,367 pro rata per annum.**
We are a high-achieving institution, welcoming approximately 2,800 sixth form students from across the region each year. Situated in the picturesque New Forest National Park, we provide our students with a diverse array of courses and excellent facilities.
**About the Role:**
As the **Lecturer in Business**, your primary responsibility will be to enhance the learning experience and academic success of students through high-quality teaching.
**Your responsibilities as the Lecturer in Business will include:**
- Delivering lessons on courses as outlined by the Head of Curriculum.
- Serving as a Personal Tutor for students, if necessary.
- Taking on the role of Course Leader when required.
- Preparing and grading student assignments, tracking progress towards individual goals, maintaining accurate records, and providing timely feedback to students, parents, employers, and College managers as needed.
- Collaborating with colleagues to address student needs effectively.
- Upholding the principles of inclusive learning.
- Contributing to the design, delivery, and future development of the curriculum.
- Enhancing the teaching/learning resource bank for the respective subject/course.
- Keeping current with developments in the relevant subject/course area.
- Establishing and maintaining effective external connections related to subject/course delivery and representing the College at pertinent meetings.
- Organizing and participating in relevant field trips and visits.
**The ideal candidate for the Lecturer in Business will possess:**
- A degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant subject area.
- An appropriate teaching qualification (or be in the process of obtaining one).
- A solid understanding of current developments in the relevant curriculum area.
- Knowledge of applicable health and safety regulations.
