Learning Support Assistant - Special Educational Needs

Job Summary:
We are looking for a committed and caring Learning Support Assistant to become part of our team at GEMS Founders School - Dubai. The ideal candidate will engage closely with children who have special needs, offering personalized assistance to enhance their educational experience and overall growth.
Responsibilities:
Individualized Support:
- Deliver focused one-on-one support to students with special educational needs (SEN) across various learning settings.
- Execute tailored education and behavior plans as directed by the SEN Coordinator or other relevant professionals.
Academic Assistance:
- Aid students in grasping and completing academic tasks, modifying materials to align with their learning preferences and capabilities.
- Work in partnership with teachers to reinforce learning goals and adjust teaching approaches as necessary.
Emotional and Behavioral Support:
- Create a nurturing and inclusive environment for students with SEN, fostering emotional health and encouraging positive behavior.
- Apply techniques to address and manage challenging behaviors, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Sustain open lines of communication with teaching staff, the Inclusion teacher, and other professionals involved in supporting the student.
- Effectively communicate with parents on a daily basis.
Progress Monitoring:
- Maintain comprehensive records of student progress, accomplishments, and areas that require improvement.
- Collaborate with Inclusion teachers to evaluate and report on the effectiveness of intervention strategies.
