Position Overview:
At Bromsgrove School Mission Hills (BMH), we believe our staff is our most valuable asset, and we are thrilled to announce an opening for an outstanding Pre School Teacher starting in August 2026. This position involves cultivating meaningful relationships with students, implementing our dynamic play-based curriculum, and working alongside a team of skilled Early Childhood Educators from around the world to create an engaging learning atmosphere and achieve exceptional student outcomes.
BMH operates in collaboration with Bromsgrove School in England, providing a progressive bilingual education that incorporates a blended, inquiry-driven curriculum, marrying aspects of Chinese and Western educational traditions. The ideal applicant will be encouraged to approach both curriculum development and implementation with creativity, advocate for the cognitive and social benefits of bilingualism, and embody a respectful and open-minded perspective towards multiculturalism within our Chinese context.
Qualifications:
- A university degree (BA/B.Sc) or an equivalent credential;
- Teaching qualifications (B.Ed/M.Ed/PGCE/QTS) or its equivalent;
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching experience;
- Proficiency in English;
- A solid understanding of early childhood frameworks such as the Canadian educational system, PYP, EYFS, and Reggio Emilia (preferred);
- A positive, nurturing disposition and a collaborative spirit, with a genuine passion for early childhood education (required).
In this role, you will be expected to demonstrate key professional qualities and specifically will:
- Create engaging, high-quality play-based learning environments;
- Establish consistent routines for young children to enhance their sense of belonging and well-being;
- Ensure all children in your care receive respect, equity, and opportunities;
- Actively communicate with parents and create avenues for parental involvement in learning;
- Document learning processes to acknowledge children's achievements, celebrate their successes, and plan the next steps;
- Innovate, initiate, and inspire;
- Collaboratively plan, assess, and implement the BMH Pre School Curriculum in your classroom;
- Develop engaging and age-appropriate Inquiry Units within our established Programme of Inquiry;
- Facilitate regular language learning experiences through various strategies, including Read-alouds, Guided Reading, Role Play, writing tasks, and daily reflections;
- Create meaningful connections between different curriculum areas within each Inquiry Unit, ensuring that learning remains relevant, engaging, and interconnected for our young learners.
