About This Role

Haut-Lac International Bilingual School, located near Vevey (Vaud), Switzerland, is seeking a qualified Geography and Business teacher to join our secondary school team beginning in mid-August 2026.

We are looking for a passionate and committed educator with a background in international education who is enthusiastic about contributing to our vibrant extracurricular programs. As an IB World School, we value teachers who are well-versed in the IB curriculum and share its educational philosophy. Priority will be given to candidates who are proficient in both English and French, as well as those who can teach an additional humanities subject.

Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography or equivalent qualification
  • Secondary PGCE or teaching certification in Geography or Business
  • Experience teaching the IB MYP and DP programmes (preferred)
  • Strong skills in using educational technology (iPads, interactive whiteboards, etc.)
  • A dedicated, student-centered educator who implements inclusive, diverse, and engaging teaching methods
  • Experience in a pastoral role (preferred)
  • Native English speaker
  • Working knowledge of French; higher proficiency is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Teach Geography within the MYP and DP programmes
  • Instruct Business and Management in the DP programme
  • Actively participate in the school’s extracurricular activities
  • Engage in wider school events and community initiatives

Compensation
