Hours: Up to 37 hours (Mon-Fri), Part/Full Time
Working Pattern: Term Time + 1 week & 1 INSET day (September)
Salary: H5.9 £27,254 FTE (pro-rata)
Reporting to: Assistant Headteacher (SEND)
We are seeking a committed SEN Family Liaison Officer to support students with SEND by working closely with families, staff, and external agencies. You will play a key role in ensuring effective communication, coordination of support, and smooth statutory processes.
Key Duties- Act as first point of contact for SEND-related queries
- Support and guide families to appropriate services and staff
- Organise parent meetings and support Year 7 transition
- Maintain accurate records in line with GDPR
- Coordinate EHCP reviews and ensure deadlines are met
- Liaise with external agencies and support referrals
- Deliver targeted SEND interventions (e.g. Social Stories)
Essential:
- Strong admin, organisation, and communication skills
- Excellent record keeping and attention to detail
- Confident using Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
- Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and student wellbeing
Desirable:
- Experience in a school or similar role
- Knowledge of SEND/EHCP processes
- Experience with MIS systems (e.g. Arbor)
- Supportive and inclusive school community
