About This Role
Christian Life School (Peace River North) is looking for a part-time (40-50%) ADST (Foods) Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. As an accredited independent school, Christian Life School supports a vibrant community of around 150 students, ranging from Kindergarten to Junior High. Our committed faculty focus on inspiring and assisting students, motivating them to exceed their limits and achieve new academic heights.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate (or the ability to obtain one)
- Alignment with our doctrinal statement, mission, and philosophies that embody our Christian faith-based principles and policies
- Adaptability to meet various course assignments based on enrollment needs (a minimum of a minor in a teachable subject at the secondary level recognized by the BC Ministry of Education is required)
- Experience in modifying and adapting curriculum to cater to the diverse needs of students
- Strong classroom management skills to foster an effective learning atmosphere while upholding student dignity
- A dedication to applying school initiatives and goals within the classroom environment
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues in developing and implementing individualized learning plans for students facing academic, social, and emotional challenges
- Openness to work cooperatively with staff on the school improvement plan and professional development
