We are seeking an exceptional early childhood educator who works with children aged 3 to 5 years. This position is part of a collaborative teaching team within our ECE Centre, focused on nurturing the positive growth and development of young girls in a supportive, play-based atmosphere. The ideal candidate will join a dynamic and innovative school community that emphasizes personal excellence, holistic growth, and overall well-being.
In this role, you will support a team of Junior Kindergarten teachers throughout the school day and lead our after-school care program for young learners. Work hours: 9:45am - 5:45pm daily
Responsibilities:
● Collaborate with a vibrant team of early childhood educators
● Assist ECE students in various activities that promote a play-based learning approach
● Provide individualized support to children as needed
● Design and implement an after-school care program for young girls
● Supervise children during lunch and outdoor play
● Proactively seek out tasks
● Prepare instructional materials and create visual displays for the classroom
● Ensure that the learning environment is effectively set up, clean, and organized
● Engage in school activities such as Sports Day and ECE concerts
Qualifications:
● Early Childhood Educator Certificate or Diploma
● Relevant experience as an early childhood educator is beneficial
● Understanding of the learning preferences of young girls
● Strong collaborative skills
● Ability to be creative, adaptable, and patient
● Excellent communication skills
● Firm commitment to the care and safety of young children
● Dedication to integrating school routines and learning within a childcare context
● Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
