Role Title: Assistant Director of Rugby
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 45 hours per week, 8:00am-5:00pm Mon – Fri, plus Saturday afternoons
Basis: Full time, Term Time only (32 weeks per year)
Salary: £21,700 pa plus free accommodation

About the Role
Oakham School is looking for a dedicated and inspiring Assistant Director of Rugby to collaborate with the Director of Rugby in crafting and executing an ambitious Rugby Development Plan for the entire school, while also overseeing rugby activities for our Lower School (Years 7 and 8).

The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing and delivering training initiatives, leading individual and small-group coaching sessions, supporting strength and conditioning programs, and actively fostering talent through the Sports Scholarship programme. Additionally, the role involves contributing to significant events such as Oakham School 7s and enhancing partnerships with local clubs, feeder schools, and the broader community.

This position presents an exciting prospect for a passionate coach focused on long-term athlete development, with the drive to establish strong connections within the school community. A minimum of an RFU Level 2 qualification is required (with Level 3 preferred), coupled with a fervent commitment to advancing rugby excellence in a vibrant boarding school environment.
