About This Role

BFIS Director of Admissions

The Director of Admissions is tasked with overseeing the enrollment journey at BFIS, handling everything from initial inquiries through to both enrollment and re-enrollment processes. This pivotal role is essential in attracting and securing students and families who resonate with the school’s mission and values, all while ensuring enrollment levels remain healthy and sustainable. As a key leadership position, it requires a blend of strategic thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to cultivate strong relationships, coupled with effective systems management and precise data oversight. The Director holds responsibility for enrollment outcomes, the quality of the admissions experience, and the integrity of admissions processes, systems, and reporting. Working closely with the Director of Communications and Marketing, the Communications Team, and the Development Manager, the Director guarantees cohesive messaging about the school and a consistent experience for families, nurturing long-lasting connections. This role also contributes to discussions with senior leadership and provides clear and consistent reporting to aid in planning and Board oversight. It is essential that prospective families are well-informed and engaged with the school’s educational philosophy, which includes Reggio Emilia-inspired practices in the early years and the IB Middle Years and Diploma Programs. Admissions at BFIS should reflect our identity: a school that encourages creativity and curiosity, fosters community, prepares students for future challenges, and instills a true love for learning.
