Aldar Academies is seeking a Teacher - PE for Bateen World Academy, with a start date in the 2026-2027 academic year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement exceptional teaching and learning experiences in accordance with the school's Teaching and Learning Policy by:
    • Creating a learning environment that promotes outstanding practice;
    • Establishing clear teaching and learning objectives;
    • Setting specific targets that build on students' previous accomplishments;
    • Identifying students with SEN (POD), EAL, and G&T needs, ensuring their requirements are met through tailored instruction;
    • Structuring lessons and activities that maintain engagement, challenge, and a steady pace;
    • Applying effective assessment strategies to support learning;
    • Utilizing performance data and key indicators to inform planning and deliver customized lessons;
    • Integrating ICT effectively to enhance learning outcomes;
    • Maintaining discipline in line with the school's 'Behaviour for Learning Policy' and upholding standards of punctuality, behavior, academic work, and homework;
    • Assessing the achievement of learning objectives and using results to refine teaching practices;
    • Grading student assignments at least biweekly and setting progress targets following the school's Marking Policy;
    • Systematically evaluating and documenting students' progress, maintaining accurate records, and using performance data to guide planning and learning;
    • Conducting necessary assessments as per examination body, departmental, and school protocols;
    • Preparing and delivering detailed reports to parents;
    • Engaging in and supporting events for parents and students;
    • Contributing to subject development by creating, reviewing, and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work;
    • Keeping up-to-date with subject knowledge through CPD and professional literature;
    • Participating in the school's CAS Programme by leading or supporting one after-school activity each term (CAS does not include I/GCSE and IB DP Revision/Booster Sessions);
    • Acting as an Academic Mentor and Extended Essay Supervisor for Year 12/13 students;
    • Performing duties outlined in the staff duty schedule;
    • Providing coverage for absent colleagues;
    • Supervising examinations as necessary to assist the Examinations Officer and manage the Summer Examination Schedule;
    • Undertaking any additional responsibilities assigned by the Principal.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant subject area, along with a PGCE or another recognized teaching qualification.

Minimum Experience

  • At least two years of teaching experience.

  • An outstanding teacher with a proven track record of effectiveness;
  • Experience teaching a diverse range of abilities with documented success;
  • Background in multiple international educational settings;
  • Familiarity with IB and I/GCSE teaching methodologies.

Compensation
