Curriculum Overview

Doha British School adheres to the National Curriculum of England, tailored to reflect the culture, heritage, and values of Qatar. The school offers a steady educational pathway from Early Years to Sixth Form, merging academic excellence with strong pastoral support and a focus on personal development.

The DBS curriculum at all levels is crafted to be relevant, enriching, and challenging, integrating academic rigor with elements of leadership, creativity, and global citizenship.

Ideal candidates must possess:


A recognized educational degree, such as a Bachelor’s in Education or an equivalent qualification.


A valid teaching qualification like a PGCE or QTS, along with an Early Career Teaching Certificate (the PGCE should be accompanied by a subject-specific bachelor’s degree).


Outstanding subject expertise, with substantial experience in teaching the National Curriculum of England.


Experience in teaching International Baccalaureate (IB) and IGCSE, AS/A Level.


A demonstrable history of delivering exceptional teaching and learning experiences.


A strong dedication to enhancing the broader school community through extracurricular engagement.
