About This Role

Secondary Physics Teacher (m/f/d)

St. George’s the British International School, Munich, Germany

As our school continues to expand, St. George's School is in search of a highly qualified Physics teacher to join our secondary education team, starting in August 2026.

The School

Established in September 2013, St. George’s School Munich has quickly blossomed into a vibrant community comprising over 800 students and 100 educators. Our philosophy emphasizes a rich curriculum paired with a family-oriented approach, creating a welcoming and stimulating environment for both staff and students.

In September 2017, we entered an exciting new chapter by moving to a newly constructed campus in the city. This state-of-the-art facility provides exceptional educational resources for all ages and subject areas.

The National Curriculum is implemented throughout our institution, and we offer IGCSE qualifications in our Upper School. Students in the Sixth Form are prepared for the International Baccalaureate Diploma.

As part of a network of three schools across Germany, St. George’s offers the successful candidate a wealth of opportunities for professional development and advancement within the school group.

The Location

Our new campus is situated in Schwabing-Freimann, just north of the city center. The site is conveniently connected to the U6 metro line and the A9 motorway.

Munich, the capital of Bavaria and Germany’s third largest city, is a lively cultural hub with a diverse international community. Nestled at the northern edge of the Alps, Munich boasts a high quality of life along with numerous opportunities for travel and outdoor activities.

Munich Airport is located 30km from the school, offering daily flights to the UK, while high-speed rail services link the city to various European destinations.

The Role

We are looking to hire a qualified Physics Teacher to join our secondary teaching staff. This role involves teaching iGCSE and IBDP courses.

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic educator with a track record of helping students realize their potential. We seek a balanced individual who combines experience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for teaching that motivates our pupils.

Our secondary department caters to students aged 11-18 and encompasses the curricula for Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and IB Diploma. Familiarity with the British education system is essential. While experience with IB teaching is preferred, it is not mandatory.

Given the evolving nature of our school, adaptability and a willingness to support fellow team members are essential. A strong interest in contributing to the vibrant pastoral and extracurricular life of the school will also be an asset.
