About This Role

Astra Academy International School, situated in Thailand, is a prestigious educational establishment dedicated to delivering exceptional international education. We are currently on the lookout for a passionate Year 1 Teacher to become part of our team. This role presents a wonderful opportunity to assist students as they transition from Early Years into Key Stage 1, laying solid groundwork in literacy, numeracy, and inquiry within a supportive and stimulating learning atmosphere.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related discipline

• Recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS, or an equivalent credential

• A minimum of 2 to 3 years of teaching experience in Early Years or Key Stage 1

• Comprehensive understanding of early literacy development, including phonics, reading, and writing

• In-depth knowledge of early numeracy development

• Experience in delivering a British or international primary curriculum

• Capability to design engaging and age-appropriate learning experiences

• Ability to balance structured lessons with inquiry, play, and exploration

• Strong classroom management and communication abilities

• Experience in supporting diverse learners, including EAL students
