We are in search of a committed Head of EAL to oversee and enhance our comprehensive English as an Additional Language program across the school. Position: Teacher of EAL (Potential Leadership Role)
Department: Inclusion / EAL
Education Stage: Whole School (Primary, Middle, and Secondary)
Curriculum: British Curriculum (adapted)
Position Type: Teacher and Middle Leader
Skills and Qualifications:
•
Bachelor’s Degree in Education, English, Linguistics, TESOL, or a related discipline
•
An accredited teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS, or an equivalent
•
An additional credential in EAL, TESOL, or language acquisition is a plus
•
At least 3 years of experience assisting students with English as an additional language
•
Experience in leading or coordinating EAL provision or a comparable inclusion role
•
A deep understanding of second language acquisition and effective EAL methodologies
•
Experience with multilingual learners in an international educational environment
•
Capability to design and execute a whole-school EAL strategy and provision
•
Strong classroom skills, including co-teaching and in-class support models
•
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities
