About This Role

Coruña British International School is a prestigious British international institution, recognized as the first in the city to achieve NABSS (National Association for British Schools in Spain) accreditation. Our curriculum is fully endorsed by both the Galician Government and the British Council, placing us among the leading British schools in the Galicia region, alongside our sister school in Vigo. Established over eight years ago, this forward-thinking school embodies strong family values and has successfully delivered the English National Curriculum to hundreds of students, adapting to the needs of contemporary learners. Our school caters to children aged three to 14, who engage with the National English Early Years Framework and the English National Curriculum.

We are proud to be part of Globeducate British International Schools, a recently formed cluster within the Globeducate family that was established in 2021, encompassing nine schools across Europe. Currently, Globeducate boasts a network of over 60 schools in 12 countries, serving more than 40,000 students daily.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Secondary Mathematics Teacher to join our team:

REQUIREMENTS

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or a related numerical field.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an internationally recognized teaching qualification appropriate for secondary education.

• Demonstrable experience in teaching Mathematics at the secondary level, preferably in a British or international school setting.

• Solid understanding of UK curriculum standards for KS3–KS4 Mathematics (and ideally KS5).

• Ability to deliver clear, well-structured, and engaging lessons that are accessible to students of varying abilities.

• Experience with assessment for learning, tracking progress, and employing data-informed teaching strategies.

• Proficiency in teaching various mathematical concepts, including algebra, geometry, statistics, and problem-solving.

• Strong classroom management abilities and a knack for fostering a positive, supportive learning atmosphere.

• Excellent communication skills with the capability to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the broader school community.

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
