Job Description

We are on the lookout for a dedicated and experienced Inclusion Lead to become part of our team starting in August 2026.

In this pivotal role, the Inclusion Lead will be responsible for developing and executing the school's Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provisions, ensuring that students with various learning needs receive the necessary support to excel academically, socially, and emotionally.

The ideal candidate will spearhead the planning and implementation of inclusive educational strategies, oversee early intervention initiatives, and work closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to guarantee that all students are empowered to reach their maximum potential.

Key Responsibilities


• Design and implement special needs education tailored to students with diverse requirements.

• Develop early intervention programs that enhance functional skills and ensure a smooth transition into adulthood.

• Create and execute a comprehensive curriculum focused on essential developmental tasks for young students with SEN, including Gross Motor Skills, Fine Motor Skills, Language Development, Functional Language, Social Language, Semantics, Letter Recognition, and Mathematical Skills.

• Observe children's behavioral trends and coordinate suitable interventions when necessary.

• Manage classroom crises and resolve conflicts effectively.

• Provide coaching and mentorship to other professionals working with children with disabilities.

• Collaborate with support staff (such as school counselors and teachers) to formulate holistic intervention strategies.

• Work with the admissions team to assess needs throughout the admissions process.

• Communicate with parents and offer support regarding their child’s needs.

Skills and Competencies

• SEND Expertise: In-depth knowledge of special educational needs, inclusive practices, and differentiated learning methods.

• Leadership Skills: Proficiency in guiding and assisting teachers in the adoption of inclusive classroom methodologies.

• Early Intervention: Proven experience in crafting intervention programs that address developmental and educational requirements.

• Behaviour Management: Expertise in recognizing behavioral patterns and implementing effective support measures.

• Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, counselors, parents, and support personnel.

• Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to connect with students, staff, and families.

• Analytical Skills: Competence in assessing student needs, analyzing progress, and creating impactful intervention strategies.

Qualifications


• Master’s degree in Special Education / SEND or a related discipline.

• Relevant and recognized SEND qualification.

• At least 10 years of overall experience in the education sector.

• Minimum of 2 years in an Inclusion Lead or comparable leadership position.

• Experience in an international or British curriculum school setting is preferred.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
