About This Role
We are on the lookout for an EAL specialist to spearhead our inclusive education initiative. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in providing support to students with English as an Additional Language in the Secondary School, ensuring exceptional educational delivery throughout the institution.
A strong sense of motivation, high professional standards, and a demonstrated history of success at GCSE and A level are essential for this role. You will be tasked with consistently delivering exemplary practice while collaborating with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning within the department. Having the capability to lead extracurricular clubs and foster connections with students in our primary school would be a distinct advantage.
The English International College is a British institution catering to students aged 3-18. We offer a British curriculum that closely aligns with the UK National Curriculum, with modifications that reflect our international setting and values. Our school boasts an impressive academic record, frequently guiding students to top-tier universities around the globe. Additionally, we serve as a center for Cambridge International and Pearson Examinations.
We welcome applications from UK qualified teachers who possess a minimum of 5 years of pertinent teaching experience. Candidates who are successful will be expected to contribute to extracurricular activities and engage in the broader school community.
To apply, please submit your application through TES or via email to headofadmin@eic.edu, including your CV in English and a letter of application by Friday, 10th April.
Please note that upon appointment, you must have full working residency status in Spain, with your NIE/TIE secured beforehand.
We adhere to a strict safeguarding policy; being an international school, you will need to obtain a certificate from the Child Exploitation & Online Protection Centre/ACRO https://www.acro.police.uk/, along with a CRB Enhanced disclosure or ‘Certificado de Penales/Certificado de Delitos de Naturaleza S.’ (Spain) https://cita-previa.mjusticia.gob.es/citaprevia/#!/es/newAppointment?uuid=020a-389cc-ea4d-fe060.
