As we expand our presence in Southeast Asia, we are searching for enthusiastic candidates for the position of Principal at our Invictus International Schools in the region.

Roles and Responsibilities
Management Functions:

General Responsibilities:


Act as the Head and a key member of the school’s leadership team.


Provide direction in managing the daily operations of the school.


Lead efforts to steadily increase student enrollment to reach full capacity.


Work with Invictus’ Academic and Examinations Board (where applicable) to ensure consistency in teaching and learning activities with Invictus’ curriculum and ethos.


Oversee staffing at the school to maintain teaching standards and methodologies in line with the Academic and Examinations Board’s guidelines.


Collaborate with the Senior Vice President on:

- The budgeting process and management of approved budgets for the school.

- Administrative processes as specified in Invictus’ Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), including admissions, student contracts, and record-keeping.

- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory regulations and Invictus standard operating procedures (SOPs).

1. Strategic Planning


Plan, implement, monitor, and assess educational initiatives and the direction of the school using data-driven strategies.


Lead the ongoing growth of the school while adhering to its vision and values, supporting students and staff in reaching their potential.

2. Leadership – School Development


Oversee the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of all educational programs based on research-informed practices and the necessary support resources.


Define the educational goals and objectives of the school and develop strategies to achieve them.


Develop and coordinate the school plan and policies for approval by the Academic Board, Examination Board (if applicable), and Board of Management.


Mentor school staff, guiding them in achieving the school’s aims, objectives, and plans.

3. Teaching & Learning


Create a learning environment that promotes high achievement for all students.


Develop and provide appropriate learning and curriculum programs and instructional methods tailored to the needs of all students, along with suitable timetables.


Encourage effective teaching and learning practices across the school.


Establish curriculum and assessment policies for the school.


Implement systems for tracking individual student progress and ensure regular updates to parents regarding their children’s development.


Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning throughout the school, devising improvement plans when necessary.

4. Management – People & Teams


Recruit exceptional teachers and staff in a collaborative environment that promotes continuous professional development through mentoring and feedback.


Cultivate positive working relationships with colleagues, parents, and stakeholders.


Treat all staff with respect, fostering positive interactions.


Promote a harmonious working environment.

5. Stakeholder & Community Engagement


Lead the execution, monitoring, and evaluation of stakeholder and community engagement initiatives utilizing technology and social media for effective communication.


Establish strong partnerships with parents/guardians; maintain clear communication with a focus on the child and the organization.


Ensure effective communication channels with students, staff, parents, and colleagues.


Implement school policies with a comprehensive understanding of their rationale.

6. School Management & Operations


Direct the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of policies, systems, and processes that clarify roles and responsibilities, uphold corporate governance in HR and finance, ensure effective marketing, facilitate smooth admissions, and leverage technology for learning and administration.


Manage the daily operations of the school, including planning and overseeing the daily class schedule.


Encourage a collaborative and safe-fail learning culture that supports strong teacher-student relationships, lifelong learning skills, and entrepreneurial mindsets.


Handle routine correspondence and prepare reports and information as required by the Board of Management.


Organize and manage any external examinations as necessary.

7. Self-Awareness and Self-Management


Establish a high standard for professional interactions while maintaining appropriate boundaries.


Be aware of your own skill set and be open to seeking guidance and support as needed.


Consistently demonstrate professional integrity, including discretion, confidentiality, loyalty, and trust.

Requirements


A minimum of 8-10 years of leadership experience in a relevant field.


A Bachelor’s degree in Education/Teaching or equivalent, plus postgraduate training in education.


Recognized training or experience in School Leadership.


A higher degree or recognized professional qualification is preferred, along with evidence of ongoing professional development.


PGDE and/or PGCE is preferred.


A Teacher’s License (NIE certification) is desirable.

Compensation

£28,000 - £45,000 + Expat Benefits
